The Bible is a compilation of 66 books inspired by God. The Bible is made up of two divisions or testaments. The Old Testament has thirty-nine books and the New Testament has twenty-seven books. Kings, priests, and prophets wrote the Old Testament in Hebrew, while the New Testament was written by the apostles and their assistants. Each of these authors was directed by God Himself. Therefore, the Bible is without error and is the complete record of God's words for us today. The Bible teaches us how a person can have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Because of this, it is important to understand the Bible correctly and not take statements out of context. The Staff and Student Officers of CBF are committed to a thorough and proper interpretation of the Bible, and this is reflected in each of the Bible studies that they host and lead.
