International Students
Campus Bible Fellowship is excited to welcome any and all international students to Wayne State. If you are an international student, we would love to meet you and help you in any way we can. Below you will find a full description of different services we offer for those from other countries:
Ladies Lunch & Learn
If you are a lady and would like to have more practice with your conversational English, we would like to invite you to join us on Fridays for Ladies Lunch & Learn. We enjoy a meal together as we build relationships and conversational English skills through language learning games and songs. Please come anytime and invite your friends!
Where: 74 W. Forest Ave.
When: Monthly, Email for time
If you would like more info on Ladies Lunch & Learn, please email Sharon McCarty.
English Language Partners
If you would like to grow in your conversational English skills, we would love to help you. An English language partner is someone who will meet with you to talk about various topics such as the news, movies, culture, or your classes. You will have opportunities to learn how to properly greet people and other cultural cues as well.
The greatest story of all time is found in what we call the Bible–a collection of 66 books that tell the story of mankind and how God has shown his love to humans. As you grow in your English skills, we also hope to share this amazing story with you.
If you would like an English Language Partner, please email Nancy McNamara.
Class on Interviewing Skills
In order to get a good job in America, it is important to have good interviews with potential employers. Periodically, we offer classes to help international students develop skills which will help you during the interviewing process. Examples of these skills include following: how to properly shake hands, sitting posture, and how to articulate personal strengths and weaknesses.
If you would like to learn more about these classes, please email us.
